I'm not planning on going out and getting a Discarrier, but I'd test one out if it were sent to me. ;) I've seen others with the Discarrier though, and just speculating on my observations, I think the Discarrier may have SLIGHTLY more space than the Kong. I think you can squeeze a couple more discs in the main compartment, and there might be a bit more room in the pockets. There probably isn't that much more space though, while the Discarrier has more pockets, the Kong's few pockets are a lot bigger than they appear at first glance.

Good Reviews. Any chance of getting a comparison of storage space between a Kong and an Innova Discarrier?

[...] 6. Last and certainly not least is putting. The bane of many disc golfer’s existence. If you don’t have a good short game, you will never be a great disc golfer. I always use the basketball analogy of the free throw shot because, in practice, basketball players spend hours just shooting free throws. I don’t think you could count the number of games that have been one with a free throw. They are vitally important. So the thought is, practice it until it is almost automatic. The same holds true with disc golf. Tim put up a great (albeit a bit boring) instructional video on putting, which was put together by Discraft. You can check out the video by going here: http://www.aadgonline.com/32/learn-to-putt-wussylearn-to-putt-wussy/ [...]

As a retired real estate attorney in Sequim and now a real estate broker, I hear you loud and clear, "Why all the hate, blue state?" In my opinion, the lines of battle are not as clearly marked as we might want to make them on issues of land use and development. Opponents of Robin Hill may not oppose it so much on environmental or preservation arguments. Those are the arguments they will use, and even sincerely. But consider that there are people who simply don't want any more people moving into the Sequim area, or any more development at all. I'm not suggesting the 300 opponents are all of this genre. It's much more complicated in people's minds and hearts than this. I recently wrote a blog that relates to the mindset of some in Sequim, and this is also found in many small towns across America. My article is entitled "Close the Gates" and if you want, you can read it at:

Hi Brian, thanks for visiting our site, and good job on trying to spread the sport to new frontiers. I've never tried proposing a course in an area that has no existing courses before, let alone a foreign country. I don't know how parks departments are different in Spain, but it sounds like you're on the right track. The PDGA of course, is a good resource to use, at the very least they have some informational pamphlets you could hand out. I would also try to get in touch with some of the European disc golf clubs to see if they could offer any advice. I would suggest the British Disc Golf Association (http://www.bdga.org.uk/), Germany's Hyzernauts (http://hyzernauts.de/0_html/index_news.html), and Discmania, which is sort of Innova's European partner (http://www.discmania.net/page/home). Hope that helps you a bit, and please stay in touch to let us know how things progress!

I just moved to Spain from Ohio. After disovering that there are no disc golf courses here (at least in Madrid) I decided to try to petition the city to install a course. By the way, I think it would be perfect in this Spain. The natural landscape (sparse trees and grass) seems made for the sport.

I have downloaded a course development guide from the Disc Golf Association website. It has a lot of good advice. I am currently translating the main points into a sort of "cover letter" that I can email to the city.

My idea is to contact the city of Madrid, and also get a online petition going, and linking to it on various expat websites. Any advice/experience in promoting the sport, especially in countries that do not know of it?

Regards,
Brian
