A Durable Disc Golf Bag for Beginners
Not to long ago I decided to stop carrying around a pile of discs in my hands and purchase a disc golf bag. Of course, I don’t purchase anything disc golf related without first consulting with Tim. He recommend a couple of different brands that he has had luck with and sent me their respective sites.
I ended up on www.discgolfer.com where I found a great little bag for beginner to intermediate level players.
The Revolution Mini (Cordura) Bag is a lightweight yet very durable bag that has met my expectations and needs in a bag. I’m able to get 11 discs into this bag comfortably, and still have room for my 32oz water bottle, keys, wallet, and any other small stuff I need. A great feature in this bag is it’s internal frame, which keeps the bag upright on hills and provides a nice organizational rack for my discs.
The only drawbacks are it’s size (but that’s why I bought it) and the fact the there isn’t a zipper on the front or side pockets so be careful if you plan on toting anything valuable like your keys or wallet.
If you are looking for a durable and inexpensive bag, and don’t need to carry around more than 10 or 11 discs, I highly recommend this bag. It will make keeping up with your discs on and off the course a lot easier and provides a great place to hold on to that much needed water bottle on a hot day. It comes in a variety of different colors (i got the lime green and black) so there are plenty of options. This one’s definitely a birdie in my book.

Just a heads up for our readers, I’ll be doing a more in depth look at the “best” disc golf bags out there, evaluating different models to come to as objective of conclusions as I can. Just a couple comments I have for Brian’s write up: the Revo Mini is absolutely a great bag, BUT, it isn’t necessarily just for beginners. Anytime you go to a course, you’ll see people with big bags, chock full of discs, most of which they hardly ever use (hey, I’ve been guilty of this myself). Getting yourself a smaller bag to only carry your essential discs is a great way to focus your game, and carrying a smaller/lighter bag will noticeably improve your stamina.

Great point Tim. In fact, per your advice, I have purchased a few of the same disc (Champion Orcs) for my drivers and (Wizards) putters to focus on my game a bit and that bag is perfect for a light load and focused game.
